Soon, we will be introducing Srv2 (BERRETA) to the Special Project Unit Network, and we are going to commision Srv10 as another IRCd on top of it’s services as of now. Remember to view the Servers page to see the list of all servers/upcoming servers and their functions. In addition to the new servers there will be system information pages setup on all servers therefore if you use that server’s hostname in your browser it will pull up server info (I.E: http://Glock.SPUNet.org would show Srv1 (GLOCK)’s System Information)

As of now all servers are considered under construction. All servers that are upgraded will have the asterisk (*) removed from their name.

We at Special Project Unit would like to announce staff openings, namely for IRC.

As of Feburary 18th, 2012 at 8:00AM Eastern Standard Time, We are currently looking for the following:

IRC:

Local IRC Operator, One opening
Server Links, Four Openings

Website/Forums:

Technical Administrator, Two openings.

Notice that any applicants for a server link must contact Dominick directly and will be granted Network Administrator with Services Root privileges after the staff review your request.

Rest In Peace: Zoey Wong

Literally as I type this in tears I am sad to have learned that yesterday, the 13th of March, A beloved friend to Special Project Unit, Sunflower (Also known as Lily and Zoey) had passed away from cancer. This makes you really think about how some people are lucky to live through this dreaded disease. Not everyone is so lucky. Zoey had passed this morning from brain cancer to be exact. Zoey was a remote IRC operator to SPUNet and was respected as an actual member of the staff. On top of all of this on a personal note, Zoey was like my sister. We loved each other to that extent, constantly keeping in touch and checking in on each other when we were not feeling our best. Zoey, I miss you, I love you, and so does everyone else at SPUNet and the general community. You are gone but not forgotten. <3

Menu Rewrites

We are currently rewriting the navigation menu to group similar things to said “Categories”. Example: Staff and Server pages as well as Legal Notices would be placed under Information, etc. Please standby while we correct our site.
